Way 1: Looking at the appearance, the brushless DC motor is usually flat (small power or round), and the length of the brushless DC motor is larger than the diameter.
Mode 2: The lead-out wire of the motor, the rotor of the brushless DC motor does not need external power supply, so there is no lead-out wire; and the brushless DC motor needs external power supply, so there are two power lines, the lead-out wire of the stator is not different.
Mode 3: Look at the structure, remove the motor, see the carbon brush is a brushless DC motor, otherwise it is a brushless DC motor.
Way 4: Look at the nameplate, ordinary consumer manufacturers will mark the parameters on the motor nameplate, and the brushless DC motor and brushless DC motor are different models, which can be separated. For brushless motors, the letter BLD is used at the beginning of the model, while for brushless DC motors, the letter DK is used.
In addition to the above several ways to distinguish the two from each other in appearance, we can further confirm the difference through some practical operations. For example:
One: Power generation method test, using pointer multimeter connected to the DC motor power supply line, multimeter conditioned to low voltage, gradually rotate the motor shaft by hand, if the pointer can speed up the rotation, pointer deflection is the brushless DC motor, on the contrary, the brushless DC motor.
Second: Look at the continuous working time, related to the brushless motor, the continuous working time of the brushless DC motor will be longer, because the brushless motor does not need to change the carbon brush; and the carbon brush of the brushless motor will wear and tear after a period of time, so it needs to be changed before it can be used normally. So there is a big difference between the two in continuous working hours. But it should be noted that the length of continuous working hours does not mean the service life of the motor! The long continuous working time of the theory does not necessarily mean the long life of the motor. Whether a brushless motor or a brushless motor, its service life is determined by the normal operation time of the thin parts of the main parts of the motor. For example, if the winding manufacturing process of brushless motor is not high quality, the quality of materials used is poor, and the workmanship is rough, then the first bad motor is brushless motor, not brushless motor.
