1. Scope of application
BLDCM: it is usually used in the equipment with high control requirements and high speed, such as aircraft model, precision instrument and so on, which strictly controls the motor speed and achieves high speed.
Carbon brush motor: generally, the power equipment uses brush motor, such as blower, factory motor, household lampblack machine, etc. in addition, the speed of series motor can also reach very high, but due to the wear of carbon brush, the service life is not as good as that of non brush motor.
2. Service life
BLDCM: usually the service life is tens of thousands of hours, but the service life of BLDCM varies greatly due to different bearings.
Carbon brush motor: generally, the continuous working life of brush motor is hundreds to more than 1000 hours. When it reaches the service limit, it needs to replace the carbon brush, otherwise it is easy to cause bearing wear.
3. Application effect
BLDCM: usually digital frequency conversion control, with strong controllability. It can be easily realized from several revolutions per minute to tens of thousands of revolutions per minute.
Carbon brush motor: generally, the working speed of the brushless motor is constant after starting, and the speed regulation is not easy. The series motor can also reach 20000 rpm, but its service life will be shorter.
4. In terms of energy saving: compared with series motor, the brushless motor controlled by frequency conversion technology can save a lot of energy, the most typical one is frequency conversion air conditioner and refrigerator.
5. In terms of future maintenance, the carbon brush motor needs to be replaced. If it is not replaced in time, it will cause damage to the motor. The service life of the brushless motor is very long, usually more than 10 times that of the brush motor, but if it is broken, it needs to be replaced, but the daily maintenance is basically unnecessary.
6. The noise is not related to whether there is a brush motor, but mainly depends on the coordination of the bearing and clicking on the internal components.
7. The brush motor refers to the DC input of the motor. The controller that controls it can regulate the speed only by providing it with large and small current. The brush motor is actually a three-phase AC motor, which converts the DC into three-phase AC by the controller, and changes the phase according to the sensor Hall element in the motor to make the motor operate normally. Directly speaking, the life of BLDCM is longer than that of BLDCM, the start is more powerful and power saving, but the cost of controller is higher than that of BLDCM.
At present, the current are all brushless controllers, the brush has been basically eliminated. Electric vehicle controller is the core control device used to control the start, operation, advance and retreat, speed, stop and other electronic devices of electric vehicle. It is just like the brain of electric vehicle, and it is an important part of electric vehicle.
